Today the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly supported a measure to extend and expand the First Time Homebuyer $8000 Tax Credit until April 30, 2010. The measure was also passed unanimously by the Senate last night, and is currently on the way to the President for his signature. The President is expected to sign the measure as early as Friday. The measure also includes a new $6500 tax credit for existing homeowners who qualify for the program.
