Rescue scams are the real growth industry in the United States today.  So many people bought their homes in a maraket when the prices were high and the lending market was allowing no down, no proof of income, providing fertile ground for fraudsters.  Subprime fraud played a huge role in the housing crisis.  Now the home owner is in over his head and needs help.  This makes it easy for the criminal to fraud the desprete home owner.  All they need to target people  is a computer and how to set up a web-site and they are in business.  They can set up quickly, target home owners in need, shut down and move on before anyone knows what is happening.   Rescue scams are costing the home owner money and they are wasting valuable time when they could be talking with their lender about saving their homes.  Delays that could cost them unnecessary forclosures.  So if you are at a point where you need some help, call your lender, don’t fall for a scam that will only loose you more money and your home as well.  If you need further information on how these scams work or what to look for.  Blog ,call or email me and I will try to answer your questions.

Most people whether selling or purchasing residential property need to understand the importance of Title Insurancce.  Many things can adversely affect title to land; it is in the best interest for all parties and entities that acquire real estate to purchase title insurance, thus insuring that the property is free and clear of any liens, encumbrances and to correct any recording mistakes with ownership.  Title insurance is a small price to pay to protect against title claims that can affect ones value of land and ownership.

  2. First Appearance is important, make sure front door and yard looks good
  3. Declutter
  4. Fresh Coat of Paint
  5. Must Smell Good
  6. Have Carapets Cleaned
  7. Windows should be Cleaned
  8. Turn on Lights, and Open Blinds, you want your home to be light & bright
  9. Make  Repairs where Needed
  10. Stage Your Home to Sell

All these things may sound simple, but they are very important.  I’ve sold real estate for over 20 years and I’ve heard many coments from buyers.  Even though you may like a pink room or you enjoy all of your nic nacs, they may make your home seem crowded & no one likes to paint their new home before they move in.  Make your home look appealing  to the majority and how you would want your home to look if you were a buyer and not a seller.
