Benefits of buying versus renting in Canton GA

Believe it or not, there are many more benefits to buying a home rather than renting one. The ownership of the home is just one overriding benefit, but there are actually many more that need to be considered. For example, buying a home actually entitles you to more tax benefits than just renting a place.

Buying is somewhat similar to renting in the payment structure that you have. When you purchase a home, you are going to take out a loan in order to pay for that home. Once this is done, then you are going to pay back that loan (known as your mortgage) over time. You pay it on a monthly basis, and in this way, it is just like paying your monthly rent. The only difference is that you now own the home that you have purchased rather than just renting a place out. You are then welcome to resell the home if you would like to another willing buyer. That is a nice way to make some profit for yourself if you so choose. Otherwise, you can decide to live in the home for yourself and do whatever you would like with it. You don’t have to worry about an restrictions put into place by a landlord.

There are many benefits to owning a home rather than renting one. They cannot all be detailed in this short entry. If you would like more information about the benefits of buying over rent, feel free to give me a call.

What You Need to Know As A First Time Home Buyer In Canton GA

First time home buyers in Canton, GA often turn to their family and friends for advice out of their curiosity for information about the home buying process. In some cases, home buying myths can spring up and mislead them in their quest. In today’s insecure housing market, it is already difficult for first time home buyers to secure home financing. Even when the potential homeowner has steady full-time employment, standard mortgage products may not be available to them. In Canton, the housing demand is high, but supply is low, therefore making housing affordability quite difficult due to the higher home prices. Because of this situation, lenders must create special mortgage products to help first time home buyers to secure their first properties.

The first time home buyer in Georgia is now privy to a small set of mortgage products aimed at helping their homeownership experience. Those who are not yet homeowners can take advantage of the shared ownership or no-deposit methods of obtaining their first property.

The shared ownership method involves the purchase of part of a property and renting the other part owned by the seller, usually the developer of the property. The buyer will then gradually pay for the total property one portion at a time.

The no-deposit mortgage method is available to first time home buyers who are fully employed, but do not possess the funds for a down payment or deposit. Therefore this product allows for a 100% loan to value ratio.

If you would like more information on how to qualify for your first home in Canton, or if you are ready to start looking, contact me at your convenience and let’s find your first home!!!
