A Simple Animated View of the World We’ve Built on Ideas in Under 5 Minutes
Saul Bass was a brilliant graphic designer who had a special talent for creating opening film credits in the 50s-70s. In 1970 he produced a short film, “Why Man Creates” that earned him an Academy Award and it remains one of the most highly regarded short films ever produced. The opening 4-5 minutes of that film is a simple animation that takes a look at a history of the world that we’ve built on ideas. We are where we are because of what came before us . Think about it and enjoy.
