Nestled in the northeast corner of Orlando is Tuscawilla, on which construction began in the 1970s. Tuscawilla Estates, the early part of the Tuscawilla development, winds through a wonderfully leafy neighborhood. The homes are majestically set back from the street, often with an acre or more of land, and are surrounded by large oaks. Some homes are gated, some have tennis courts and most have pools. There is still a horse trail winding through the area, reminiscent of the days when many people owned a horse. The street names reflect those days: Morgan, Shetland, Pony, etc. Some streets have been updated, and most have been lovingly maintained.

Tuscawilla is located in Seminole County, which prides itself on its schools. Winter Springs High, Indian Trails Middle as well as Keeth and Rainbow Elementary are some of the best schools in the area. Winter Springs High has a junior college atmosphere with an open student body courtyard. Indian Trails Middle School opened in 1992 and is one of the most acclaimed schools in the area. Keeth (opened since 1983) and Rainbow (opened since 1994) have provided all students a safe, supportive environment where academic excellence is encouraged.

Winter Springs has it all: great schools, plenty of parks, awesome restaurants, and lots of shopping nearby and, oh yeah, did I mention the sunshine? From the Seminole County trails for walking or bicycling on SR 434 to the many park and recreational facilities within and surrounding the city, and lots of local shopping and restaurants including a nearby mall! In addition, with easy access to the Greenway (SR 417) close by, residents are able to get to the city of Orlando and the many theme parks with a short driving time.

The magnificent Tuscawilla Country Club Golf Course entwines itself throughout the community into several subdivisions where you could enjoy the view from your golf front property. Take your family for a hike, run along Tuscawilla’s bike and jogging trails, or go for a walk on the nature trail and maybe you will catch a glimpse of a rabbit or an egret searching for lunch.

The Estates enjoy the ambiance of Tuscawilla, with it’s over 3500 acres of parks, bike paths and trails. The Tuscawilla Country Club, with its lovely golf course, tennis courts, beautiful new pool and gracious clubhouse is located in the center. Nearby are also community tennis courts and the Seminole Trail, which is a rails-trials project that turned the old railroad tracks into an outstanding trail for biking, roller blading and walking. Best of all, Tuscawilla remains a special residential neighborhood, with outstanding Seminole County schools, and is conveniently located near all major roads, yet is sheltered from the rapid sprawl of Orlando.
