UTA FrontRunner Comes to Utah County
You’ve probably noticed the construction taking place on the train tracks up and down the I-15 corridor. UTA has been working hard to bring their FrontRunner train service to Utah County. The FrontRunner South line will add commuter rail service from the Provo Intermodal Center through Utah County to the Salt Lake Central Station in downtown Salt Lake City. Stops will include: Orem, American Fork, Lehi, Draper, South Jordan and Murray, in addition to the end points of Salt Lake and Provo. The service will officially be open to the public on December 10, 2012. In the meantime, please be aware that trial runs are taking place and look out for these trains as you come to crossings.
You can access the UTA website’s FAQ’s to learn more about this exciting new transportation option.
Recently, Prudential Utah Elite Real Estate agents had the chance to preview this new train service at the Orem station located across from the UVU campus. Check out our video of this exciting tour.
