We’ve been blessed this year with an extended visit from 50 to 80 blue whales a short boat ride from the Redondo Beach pier. I took the opportunity to board the Voyager whale watching boat for a first hand look. What an exciting experience! To see these huge mammals up close was really something. These beautiful creations can get up to 110 feet in length and weigh as much as 200 tons. They’re twice the size of the largest dinosaur. Their heart alone can weigh an amazing 1,200 pounds. That’s alot of love to spread around!
