Quick Tip for Home Improvement During Hurricane Season

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Hurricane season is always on the minds of all who live along the Gulf and inland. Those who are able to afford hurricane shutters for windows and doors for their home will do so. Another alternative for home improvement is a film made by 3M Corporation. I had heard great things about this product and am considering having my own windows done. This Window Film holds the interior glass safely in place even if the exterior pane breaks. A recent buyer that purchased a home through me a few months ago just had this film done on all the windows in the new home.

According to the 3M website there is also a tax credit for window film and a selection of different films. This coverage will also have a positive impact on energy bills. ” Going Green” is where everything is headed whether it’s a new home, upgrading an existing home or fuel for cars and buildings, this type of film seems to fit into the scheme of things to come for numerous reasons.
