You should select a Bonita Springs community before the house

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

As I start to work with buyers I explain that the community selection should be the first priority. There are many communities in the Bonita Springs area that have a variety of ammenities. My approach is to tour several properties in the different communities to give the buyer a feeling of each community. Some communities offer no amenities. Some offer a community or private pool. Others may offer golf, tennis, social activities and a private beach pavillion. Location is also a factor. Is it near the airport, the beaches or major shopping and restaurants. Once one or two communities have been selected, the buyer can then concentrate on finding the right property.

Rates Are Low – Now Is The Time To Buy In Bonita Springs FL

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Rates for 30-year home loans edged lower for the second straight week, a report said Thursday, but remained above last year’s record lows.

The average rate on a 30-year fixed rate mortgage was 4.93 percent this week, down from 4.97 percent a week earlier, mortgage finance company Freddie Mac said.

Rates dropped to a record low of 4.71 percent in early December, pushed down by an aggressive government campaign to reduce consumers’ borrowing costs.

Not only are rates low, but the cost of properties are down so purchase that luxury home in Bonita Springs and save thousands while you enjoy the good life in sunny Florida.

Located just 20 minutes from Bonita Springs, FL, Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) ranks No. 2 among small airports for overall quality, a study shows.

J.D. Power and Associates on Thursday released its 2010 North America Airport Satisfaction Study. Airports were judged on six factors to gauge overall customer satisfaction: airport accessibility, baggage claim, check-in/baggage check process, terminal facilities, security check and retail services.

Southwest Florida International finished with a score of 767 out of 1,000, 10 points behind first-place winner Indianapolis International and 46 points higher than the small airport average score.

Southwest Florida International received a perfect five rating, based on a one- through five-point scale, for overall satisfaction and accessibility. The airport also received four stars each for check-in, security, terminal and baggage claim and a three for food and retail services.

Some Bonita Springs FL Homes May Be Worth More Than Owners Think

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

American homeowners’ confidence in their own homes’ value during the fourth quarter fell to its lowest level in seven quarters, with just one in five (20 percent) believing their own homes’ values increased during 2009, according to the Zillow Survey.

However, the survey finds that 28 percent of homes increased in value during 2009 in other parts of the country excluding Bonita Springs, Florida. The disconnect between rising values and lower homeowner expectations led a Home Value Misperception Index of negative two (-2).

A Misperception Index of zero would mean homeowners’ perceptions were in line with their homes’ actual values. A positive index means homes are worth less than owners think; a negative index indicates that homeowners are overly cynical about their own homes’ value.
