If you are planning to take advantage of the tax credit, call/text/email me to start looking at homes now before it expires on April 30th – that’s the date by which one must have a binding contract signed by all parties, and the home purchase must be completed by June 30th. Remember that the tax credit has been expanded so that it is not just for first time buyers. There are many great homes on Mercer Island that qualify (homes priced at $800,000 or less). Remember just a few years ago when that statement would not have been possible? We are actually seeing some amazing Mercer Island homes that are assessed over $1,000,000 selling for $800,000 or less .
