It seems as if many buyers want to know how they can buy a foreclosed property.  Often, buyers think that there must be some secret foreclosure list that may be impossible to obtain!  Well, let me tell you, your Real Estate Agent REALLY can help you.   Almost every foreclosed home will be listed on the MLS!  No secret hiding spot, just right where you search for any and all homes.

If you really just have to have only a bank owned/foreclosed home, your agent can do a search for you that is only for foreclosed properties.  This way you can eliminate all the short sales and any other inventory on the market.  Foreclosures really can be a great deal.  Keep in mind that working with a bank is different than working with your average seller.  Response times can be delayed and typically, it takes the bank 48 hours to sign the closing documents.  

So, be aware of the process and ask a lot of questions so you feel comfortable and are informed.  Now go ahead and buy that foreclosed home!
