Should you use a real estate agent?

Should you use a real estate agent? This is a question that you are probably thinking if you are buying or selling a home. You might be tempted to go at it by yourself and not use a real estate agent. If you choose that route it could be a very costly mistake. Not only can it cost you financially, it can also cost you valuable time. Let’s take a look at some of the ways a real estate agent can help you with either the buying or selling of a home.

A real estate agent can assess your buying power. This is basically what you have saved up and how much you can borrow. Also included in this determination is how much you make at your job. A real estate agent is able to keep you from buying more house than you can afford. If you go at it alone, you could very well end up in a house you can’t afford. That can quickly lead to foreclosure and you could end up losing your home and in the process damage your credit, which can make it harder to buy a home in the future.

A real estate agent can also help you with your home search. They will know what you want and find it for you. That saves you valuable time. A real estate agent can also quickly help you find a buyer if you are selling your home.

As you can see, using a real estate agent can be a very wise choice.  To find the right agent for you and your needs, give me a call!
