About Me
I have had my real estate license since 2005, but I have grown up in a real estate family and have been working in real estate jobs in various capacities since I was 15 years old. I began as the webmaster for www.noeldavid.com, maintaining the web presence for Century 21 Noel David Realty, my family’s real estate office in Fair Oaks, CA. During high school, I helped hold open houses and did graphic design and marketing work for several agents in our office, and in college I got my license and helped with actual transactions, writing offers and contracts. I’m currently in charge of recruiting, training, and helping with office management, as well as furthering my real estate career in Fair Oaks by taking classes to obtain my broker’s license.
About the family business – Three Generations of Noel David Realty
Century 21 Noel David Realty started in 1969 as Noel David Realty in Fair Oaks. Noel David was the broker and owner, and “Mike” David, his wife and also a broker, helped in sales and administration. The office began in a small room off the kitchen at Noel’s and Mike’s home in Fair Oaks. Their children, Michelle and John, would get scolded for answering “the red phone” a.k.a. the business line, but as they grew older and learned more about real estate from their dad and mom, they would earn a nickel for each phone call they answered, and would sometimes get a quarter if the call turned into a sale.
In 1977, Noel and Mike’s son John David got his salesperson license and joined the company in earnest at the age of 18, and two years later had his broker’s license as the youngest broker ever in California. At around that time in 1979, John’s brother-in-law Dave Lehman got his start in real estate with the family, and soon after got his broker’s license as well. They then changed the company name to Sunrise Real Estate in 1982.
Eventually, both John’s wife Kirsten and Dave’s wife and John’s sister Michelle got their real estate licenses and began working part time as sales agents.
When a property came up for sale in the village of Fair Oaks in 1989, the family bought it for it’s quaint location in the heart of Fair Oaks. Over 20 years later, the office location has not changed at all, and the office itself hasn’t changed much either.
Since then, Michelle has gotten her broker’s license and she and Dave now help with running the office. Daniel and I, their sons, have both gotten our salesperson licenses and worked as assistants during summers home from college. And Uncle “Tony,” Noel’s step brother, got his license and has been working with the family for some time. Over the years, the company name has changed a few times, but the family of owners have remained constant in their dedication to their clients and the community.
Today, we have three generations of the David family working in and running our office. Noel and “Mike” still come in almost every day, as do John, Dave, Michelle, and Mark. Heather and John Michael David, John and Kirsten’s children, are both currently in the process of getting their licenses as well.
As a local, family business established in 1969 with deep roots in the community and a Century 21 franchise since 1996, our office combines the ethics and personal touch of a boutique agency backed by the tools, systems and gargantuan advertising machine of the largest and most globally recognized residential real estate company in the known universe, Century 21.
