1) Develop a list of three or four good Realtors in you area.  Perhaps someone you know or a referral from someone you trust.  Do you want the agent who sells more homes or the agent who sells your home for the most?

2) Select your interview team and appropriate questions.  Your team is anyone you trust.  Family members, friends or neighbors.  Appropriate questions to ask will follow in another blog.

3) Conduct a series of one hour interviews with each agent.  Set up the day to fit your schedule.  Ask questions the way you want.  Sometimes what an agent says is not as important as HOW they say it.  Whe the hour is up, politely say thank you and we will get back to you by….and pick a specific date.

4) Pick the real estate agent you feel will work best for you.  Talk with your team.  Remember you are the boss.  Pick the agent who will work best for you.

Once you hire a competent and caring Realtor, all the rest of the process will fall into place smoothly.
