Good News Again~Ogden Leading the Recovery

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

  • MLS # 964945 ~ 111 S Pingree, Ogden, UT  84401

According to a Standard Examiner article last week,  the Ogden-Clearfield area is “bouncing back” quite well and leading the way out of the recession.  The report was done on the western region on the first quarter of this year by Brookings Institution.

This means Ogden is a great place to live and buy a home.  Interest rates are low and inventories are amazing.  Sellers need to sell for various reasons and why not live in  the Ogden area?

The article stated “Brookings points out Ogden housing prices picked up in the quarter and a reduction in the number of homes in foreclosure – homes owned by lenders – outpaced all of Utah.”

This is good news.  Let me help you buy a home Ogden, UT or sell your home in the Ogden area.

Again~This is good news.

Good News~Tax Credit Extension

Friday, June 18th, 2010

HOMEBUYER TAX CREDIT DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2010!!

Yesterday, the Senate approved an amendment to the Homebuyer Tax Credit bill to extend the closing deadline to September 30, 2010.  This applies only to homes that were under contract by April 30, 2010 but were undable to close before the original program’s June 30th deadline.

No new contracts entered AFTER April 30, 2010 will be accepted as part of the program.  Those who may have seen delays in their closing due to a large volume of home pruchases, will be relieved that the pressure is off and they won’t miss out on their tax credit.

For more information, contact your lender.  This information was provided by AXIOM FINANCIAL.

To Buy or Remodel?

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

It’s spring time again–oops–summer and sometimes we get what I call the “itch” to change.  Do I buy a home or do I want to remodel?

Sometimes when we want to move, we start driving around–either in the car or on the Internet.

Or we might want to remodel and we go to the home improvement stores and/or visiting the different websites to determine what’s out there and what we can afford.

If you are looking for some information to help you decide, June’s Reality Check is just the thing.
