Who We Are
Don Seitz is a native of Columbia and is an insatiable property investor that has been investing in our community for over seven years. Don has been involved in local real estate transactions totaling millions of dollars throughout his career. The foundation of Don’s business acumen and negotiating skills began during his work as a trial lawyer, and has continued to grow at Modern Property Groups where he evidences the concern of an attorney, the care of a doctor, and the compassion of a counselor with all real estate transactions he is involved in. Don now brings his extensive legal experience to Modern Property Groups and to its clients. He recognizes that the purchase, sale or management of real estate is a significant business transaction that must be continually nurtured and monitored. Managing real estate for the last seven years, Don has learned what it takes to create a successful investment portfolio. He looks forward to sharing this knowledge with you. Don holds both a B.S. in Economics and Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri as well as a Missouri Real Estate Broker’s license. Julia Ames is one of Columbia’s many transplants and has lived here for just over 12 years. As an enterprising young marketer and self-proclaimed “Real Estate Junkie”, she has been involved with the Columbia Board of REALTORS and active in the business for over 6 years. Recently honored as a member of the Executive Club for volume and transactions for the 2010 year, Julia has assisted her clients in their real estate transactions with a smile and an even tempered approach to negotiations. She focuses on people and will do what it takes to make a deal happen. “Ultimately, to the clients I work with, this is the most important purchase or sale they will make for the next 5-7 years or have ever made in their lives—I am here to make that experience happen. Kristin Kaiser has called Columbia home since 2007. She travelled to Missouri since childhood visiting family who resided in Columbia, Lake of the Ozarks, and Rocheport. Before moving to the Columbia area, she lived in, and still maintains property in, a community just outside of Austin, Texas.
Kristin grew up in the world of real estate. Her mother and stepfather have worked in real estate sales and appraisal. Her father was a self-employed general contractor. She studied interior design and architectural drafting at Texas State University-San Marcos. During college, she started her first business, a coffee shop and art gallery, and has since developed several businesses including restaurants, a home improvement company, and an art agency. The businesses she has built to sell continue to operate successfully today. Kristin is still active in the arts and now also manages exclusive short-term rental properties along with multiple annual rentals. She has taken on residential projects requiring complete remodels to building custom from the ground up.
Her community involvement includes a term as commissioner on the Historic Preservation Commission and membership with the King’s Daughters.

Kristie Wright has called Columbia home since 2005 when she moved to the area to complete her Physical Therapy Doctoral degree at the University of Missouri and serve children with special needs throughout the community. She discovered her passion for real estate when she began the all-too-familiar process of buying her first home. That experience sparked her fire for real estate that has resulted in an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and experience. Kristie’s background in healthcare brings a unique aspect of low-pressure, attention-to-detail, and comfort when assisting individuals throughout the process of buying or selling real estate.
