In South Jordan the values of homes are certainly up. It has gone past 48% in sales of homes that are listed and is continuing to go up. Buliding permits are the highest in Salt Lake County. This is a great time to list or sell. Homes are priced right and homes are not selling at a great rate after the market fall.

Salt Lake County Market Conditions.

Good News Today!

Salt Lake County was selling 28% of all homes listing in the 1st quarter of 2009.

Now Salt Lake County is selling 48% of all homes listed last quarter.

The very highest this fingure has ever been is in the 3rd quarter of 2005 when it was 78% of all home listed in a quarter sold. This was during the surge of buyers coming in from other stated and investers and fist time buyers with currant buyers moving up as well.

Certainly I cannot say we are not doing well! We are doing wonderful in Salt Lake County with South Jordan being the fastest growing city in the valley at this time, with over 300 new building permits given out this year.

Keep checking my blog for updates on the market. Now is the time to list your home for sale and purchase a new one before the market caps out again.

Home Interest Rates in South Jordan, UT going up

I noticed today the average 30 year APR has gone up! This is a sign of recovery. Those who are interested in moving would want to do it now before the rates go up more. They are at 5.00 APR today.

Homes in South Jordan are priced very well right now however, they tend to go up as the market gets better.

South Jordan Home Owners & Buyers

If you want to sell now is the time the TAX CREDITS have been given to current homeowners looking to move-up, purchase limits for a couple is $250,000. Purchase limits for a single person is $150,000 The tax credit is $6,500

For new homeowners the Tax Credit is still $8,000 Must have an agreement by April 30, 2010 and you will have until June 30, 2010 to close.

Utah Home Credit for $8,000 still in play

GREAT NEWS!  $8,000 Home Tax Credit is extend for first time buyers.

And, they also added $6,500 tax credit for current homeowners looking to move-up to a bigger home. The also raised the qualifying income limits in a very meaningful way-singles were increased from $75,000 to $125,000 and joint taxpayers from $150,000 to $250,000. Buyers must have executed purchase agreement in hand by April 30th 2010, and then will have until June 30th to close.

This is GREAT NEWS!

The State of Utah is offering large incentives for businesses to relocate to Utah. I relocated a business that reports they got 1.3 Million to relocate from Canada to Utah.

South Jordan Home Market Condition

The market is up in Salt Lake Valley over the entire county. If fact, sales have doubled over the first quarter of 2009 and continue to go up. Utah was the last to feel the resession and number 5 to recover in the top 5 that is in recovery. This is good news for buyers and sellers along with our Utah economy.

Homes in South Jordan are selling with an average sale price of: $327,744

As Compared to average homes sales in Draper just east of South Jordan at: $429,306

Did you know there are new grants coming out for 1st time buyers and you and me who have purchased a home in the last 3 years. Both will offer a substantial down payment to help with closing and down payments.

The grants should be reveal within a few days for Utah.
