On more than one occasion, I’ve heard high-powered listing agents brag that they never work with buyers. It seems to me that home buyers who want a great agent — but also need an agent who’s willing to spend the necessary time with them -- might want to think twice before selecting a busy listing agent to represent them.

You make a good point that a busy agent isn’t always a better agent. Mine ran around like a maniac all the time bragging about how she was busy because she was so good, but I swear she was busy because she was unorganized and always messing things up! That’s not really the point you’re making here, but thought I’d rant anyway. In any event, yes, an agent with a reasonable amount of time for their clients is the best type of agent.
