Is is Time to Buy Fort Lauderdale, Fl Real Estate ?

I know there is a lot of frightening information out their on the economy and people are naturally cautious.

Time will help the housing market and overall economy recover eventually. There is a good long-term buying opportunity in today’s market.  Prices are low and the interest rates have fallen well below five percent.

Remember, the best investors buy during the most pessimistic times. The motto from the past, “buy low & sell high” and John P Getty’s motto who was one of the richest men in American history doesn’t seem to be in practice in the current financial environment.

To give us a better perspective and some hope towards the future allow me to point out that Dennis Gartman, a well-respected market analyst published an article back in 1992 in Time Magazine which included this passage:

“The US economy remains almost comatose. The slump already ranks as the longest period of sustained weakness since the Depression. The economy is staggering under many ‘structural’ burdens, as opposed to familiar ‘cyclical’ problems. The structural faults represent once-in-a-lifetime dislocations that will take years to work out. Among them: the job drought, the debt hangover, the banking collapse, the real estate depression, the health care cost explosion and the runaway federal deficit.”

Isn’t it amazing how eerily similar the picture from 1992 compares to today? The period following 1992 included growth and opportunities in both the economy and stock market, as well as in housing. Since history repeats itself, as it often does, this could point to better days in the future with real opportunities to be had in the present.
