Lowest Priced Home for Sale Fort Lauderdale Fl –  Las Olas & the Beach

I had two telephone calls this week from prospective buyers who want to live in Las Olas or Fort Lauderdale Beach.  As a Las Olas resident who lives less than two miles from  Fort Lauderdale Beach I applaud their choices.  Las Olas & the Beach are without any doubt two of the most desirable areas of Fort Lauderdale if not South Florida.

I was surprised  to find out from both prosepctive buyers that they thought they could buy a 2,000 square foot home in these areas in the price range of $100,000 to $200,000.  These are prices that would have been feasible twenty years ago, but are no where near today’s market value.

The lowest priced livable & financeable home in Las Olas $459,000.

This is a three bedroom, 2 bath home located within walking distance of all the Las Olas attractions. Square footage is 1527.

The lowest priced livable & financeable home in Fort Lauderdale Beach area is $495,000.

This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with a garage.  Square footage is 1322.

Have home prices dropped since the boom years of 2004 & 2005? Of course they have. However,  East Fort Lauderdale stills remains a very desirable location for local residents and second home buyers from all over the world.

The bottom line is -

Paradise is not cheap – but it is worth every penny.
