A Little Bit About Me
I am married to the love of my life, Greg, and we have grown two teenagers, Skyler and Cassidy.
I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years, We love to travel; I don’t think there is any better way to broaden your horizons then travelling to those horizons.
I am unconventional and completely old fashioned. I love reading—mostly the classics, although a good spy novel or a saucy summer read can be fun too.
Family—I was raised by a misplaced southerner, so I grew up with strong family values and the sense that some things were simply not to be done. My uncle is the pastor of our church, and I am forever grateful for his teachings. Jesus is the cornerstone of my life, and without him, I am nothing. He has blessed me and my cup runneth over.
History—I have lived in 44 different houses in my life. My family was into ‘flipping’ houses before the term was coined. We called it ‘hard work’. It taught me that with hard work and a good eye, you can turn something sad and lost into a thing of beauty. Talk about the neighbors falling in love with you. When you move into the ugliest house in the neighborhood and spend a year making her beautiful again—they REALLY appreciate you.
Favorites—I love the classics, romance, traditions, family, doing the hard thing just because it’s also the right thing. Dinner with friends, cozy winter nights, playing in the snow, feeling the sun on your face in the spring. My husband’s beard against my face, my son’s arm looped over my shoulders, the silk of my daughter’s hair.
Life’s Creed—When I was a little kid I remember looking at the adults and realizing that some of them played it safe so as to avoid hurt and others seemed to throw their arms open wide embracing life in all it’s glory and blood and wonder and heartache. Those that opened their hearts got hurt more, but they were alive. I was maybe 6 or 8 years old and decided that I wanted to be alive. And that has made all the difference.
Why I do what I do—I have been a Seminar leader, School Board Member, Life Coach, and even worked in accounting. My greatest joy is helping other people meet their goals. I feel so honored when someone entrusts me with the biggest financial decision of their lives. I LOVE meeting new people and hearing their stories, getting to know their friends and families, and helping them into the next phase of their lives. I have the best career in the entire world and I consider myself completely and utterly blessed!
