The Community of Pincrest

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Pinecrest is one of Miami’s newest satellite cities and is one of 34 municipalities in Miami-Dade County. Pinecrest was incorporated March 12, 1996. Today this thriving city has a population of 19,500 and encompasses eight square miles South West of downtown Miami. Driving time to either downtown or the Miami International Airport is about 20 minutes.

25 years ago Pinecrest was a rural area characterized by one acre lots often with small unpretentious houses. Over the years the small homes have been torn down and replaced by larger more luxurious homes.

Clearly Pinecrest has become one of Miami’s most admired high end suburbs.

The public school system is perhaps the best in Miami-Dade County, all schools consistently rated Grade A. There are also two outstanding private schools, Ransom Everglades and Gulliver School.

Pinecrest Village, as it is now called, has a small commercial area along US 1 that includes super markets, pharmacies, restaurants, the post office and Pinecrest City Hall. Pinecrest is also close to three major shopping malls: Dadeland, The Falls and Merrick Village.

Residents enjoy a superior quality of life in a unique hometown rural atmosphere while enjoying the many amenities offered in the Greater Miami area.

I enjoy working in real estate in Pinecrest because it’s a new and vibrant city with little congestion. It’s fun to work there.

The Community of Coral Gables

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

I live in Coral Gables. Over the years I’ve lived a lot of places. When I worked for Exxon, we were moved seven times. I have fond memories of every place I’ve ever lived; Pittsburgh, New York, Detriot, Toronto, and Houston. I’ve never lived any place I didn’t like. However, I like Coral Gables best of all. No wonder they call it “The City Beautiful”.

It is the high-end suburb of Miami. It is highly diversified small city of 43,000. In a number of polls it has been voted one of the 10 best small cities in the U.S. If you’re an outdoor person, you can play golf, or tennis, fish, or sail year-round.

I live one mile from the University of Miami campus, where you can see all the Atlantic Coast Conference college sports. Sometimes even a national championship game. Miami has won five in football and four in baseball.

On the cultural side you might have a chance to hear Anderson Cooper, Al Gore, or Karl Rove. You might even get to hear Bill Clinton, Obama, or McCain. It is great to live in a college town where they encourage community involvement.

The recently expended airport has good connections to any place on earth. That is why 200 international companies have an office here and support activities in Coral Gables.

I am an experienced Realtor in this city. I work in Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Coconut Grove, and South Miami. I am sure I can convince you that this is a great place to live. There isn’t a better time to buy a house. Call me (305) 519-0078.
