George’s first career was with Exxon where he occupied a variety of executive positions taking early retirement as President of Esso Caribbean and Central America. He wanted to remain active in the community and joined Audrey Ross and Ross and Associates as a Realtor.

Ross was recognized several years running by Jaguar as the best high-end realtor in the United States. In 2000 Ross merged with Esslinger-Wooten- Maxwell which became the leading residential real estate firm in Dade County. When with Exxon, George was relocated seven times, often on short notice. That experience proved advantageous in establishing himself as a buyer’s agent, helping people from other areas get comfortably settled in Dade County.

His Exxon experience also helped him become established in commercial real estate. His managerial responsibilities in Central and South America provided important ties with the rapidly growing Hispanic community.

George remains active in civic affairs. He serves as Vice Chairman emeritus of the Board of Trustees at Bucknell University. He is a long-time member of Plymouth Congregational Church and has been Chairman of the Church Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He has served as Chairman of the Vizcayan Foundation and is still an active Director. He has headed the Corporate Division of the United Way. When time permits, he is an enthuiastic golfer at Riviera Country Club.
