Lighthouse Point Police Chief Ross Ligata announced that Lighthouse Point now features on an up-to-date integrated crime map. By joining you get automated emails alerts to stay on top of crime trends in the neighborhood.  Goto CrimeReports.com and subscribe for free for six months. I don’t know what happens after six months but they have not yet asked for my credit card.

This is really cool as it shows a map of Lighthouse Point with tags at the place of the crime. When you click on the tag it gives the details of the crime. You can also adjust the time period of reports.

One of two things, is evident from the statistics displayed.

1. Lighthouse Point is a very safe neighborhood to live in……or
2. Lighthouse Point Police are doing a great job in preventing crime. I think both are true.

Here is the newest: If your cell phone is linked to the internet, then all the app sellers can somehow sell you stuff and claim that you have consented to it. Maybe; by not responding to the soliciting text message to inform them that you are NOT interested, constitutes a silent consent. They have a bag of dirty tricks.

We have just discovered and removed four such unknown apps purchases to the tune of $60 which appeared in the last 2 months.  AT& T has a free purchase blocker available, but you must apply for it.
