Neighborhood and Community Information
It is a town of approximately 6000, give or take. We have 5 in city sub divisions and about that many sub divisions in the country. We were a city at one time that was considered a small typical ranch type town but since the Coal mine was developed and that brought in the Railroad we have had a population increase in population. We have to grocery stores, Family Dollar, and Pamida. We are only 45 minutes from Casper, WY, which is quite a bit bigger than us and has all kinds of shopping available.
We have pre- schools, and the town schools which are Primary(K-2), Intermediate (3-5,) Middle (6-8), & a High School (9-12). We also are a lot of extra programs for the young people like Boys & Girls Club, a very active Band and Choir group etc. There is also a Eastern College Outreach for people who want to take college related courses.
There are at least 14 Churches, a wonderful hospital with educational help to the community with their health problem solutions. We have a Peak Fitness center and a Curves exercise place.
The town also has a lot of historical places to see and a wonderful museum. Must come and see us and find out what a wonderful place to settle down in.
