In todays Miami Herald,(May 20,2010) Victoria Pesce Elliott reviews a restaurant on Miami Beach and raves about it! Fresh seafood served with no attitude on the side, how refreashing! The place is called Altamare located at 1233 Lincoln Rd. Veteran chef Simon Stojanovic is serving up seafood, chicken, and beef in such a delcious and unique way that Ms. Elliott gives it an excellent and states, ” This food outshines most any I have had on the Beach in years”. Can’t wait to give it a try!
In other food news, Vinyl and Kai (which means food in Maori, native language of New Zealand) recently opened at 1131 Washington Ave. and offers breakfast 18 hours a day! That surely will fit in with the South Beach life style! There seems to be something for everyone, from Tex Mex to Mediterranean to pulled pork sandwiches to lamb ribs. And they don’t forget about the vegetarians among us either, with an eggplant, zucchini and portobello wrap amongst other veg. dishes. Sounds delicious and affordable with easy hours. They are open from 11a.m. to 5 a.m. Lets give the locals our business. It sound like a new and fun place to grab a bite.
