My husband Terry and I moved into “Swift Creek” in Niceville several years ago with our two sons and have truly loved every minute here on the Emerald Coast. Terry is part of the Open Heart Team at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Our oldest son, Christopher, is a graduate of Niceville High School and a member of the United States Army. He is married to Amanda, and they are parents to our grandchildren Gracie, Carson and Rylan. Our youngest son, Todd is a senior at Niceville High School, and is active in ROTC with plans to attend college.

Originally from the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area, our travels have taken us to many places, but nowhere we love more than the Destin, Niceville, Fort Walton Beach area. Graduates of the University of South Carolina, (Go Gamecocks!) and the University of South Florida, (Go Bulls!) ,Terry and I have found that Florida’s Panhandle is a great place to call home.

Okaloosa County is home to Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field so the military presence is very apparent and the area offers a sense of pride, where the patriotism runs deep……much like the emerald waters of the Gulf Coast. We love our men and women of our armed forces, and with several members of our family either currently serving in, or retired from, the United States Army, United States Marines or United States Air Force, we recognize greatly the sacrifices they make so we may all enjoy the beauty of Florida’s Emerald Coast!
