South Cape Coral is quickly becoming a hot spot for residents to explore cute boutiques and savor the unique ambiance of local restaurants. Whether you’re looking for some waterfront fun or a popular social spot, South Cape Coral has plenty of options, such as Brew Babies, Hulihans, the Joint and Rumrunners.

Brew Babies Garden Bistro is a quaint restaurant that serves healthy fresh food in a relaxed atmosphere. Brew Babies features specialty coffees, homemade soups, delicious salads, unique wraps/paninis and enticing entrées like their Mojito Chicken or Rosemary Grilled Lamb Chops. Throughout the week, live Jazz bands perform in Brew Babies’ picturesc courtyard. It is locally owned by Wayne and Valerie Elam. Valerie is an accomplished jazz pianist and vocalist, and she regularly performs at Brew Babies with many of her musical friends. Dine alfresco on a gorgeous Southwest Florida day and get a feel for what Brew Babies has to offer. Located at  1520 Lafayette St, Downtown Cape Coral, 33904.

Another South Cape Coral gem is Hulihan’s where they pride themselves in making everything from scratch. The food is hip and eclectic from their Thai Chile-style Chicken Wings and BBQ Samon salad to their  Brentwood Chicken Sandwich and Navaho Chicken Pasta. The menu is definitely a combination of flavor and creativity. Hulihan’s is also a hot spot for young people to gather for a few drinks on the weekends. Don’t forget if waterfront is what you’re looking for, you will find it in Cape Coral! A great place for waterfront dining is Cape Harbour where you will find the Joint and Rumrunners. The Joint is a perfect place to go with a group of friends to share some Nosh plates and have a few drinks. The Nosh plates are designed for sharing with your friends, but if you are an independent eater you can choose a fresh salad, a hot pizzeta, or sandwich. It’s casual dining created for bringing friends. Rumrunners is known for their gorgeous views, fresh seafood and juicy steaks. Their Caribbean inspired cuisine is one of a kind from their Caribbean Bronzed Salmon to their Seafood Potpie. The flavor combinations are unique and savory. Country Waterfront on Pine Island in Southwest Florida

One of the largest islands off of Florida’s coast, Pine Island is a trip back in time with its small town feel and intriging history. However, there are no white sandy beaches to attract the large tourist population or highrise condos that we all know tend to take away from the natural beauty and flow of a unique place like Pine Island. Surrounded by gorgeous waterfront views, mangroves and aquatic preserves, Pine Island captures the essence of Southwest Florida.

Greater Pine Island is made up of five communities Matlacha, St. James City, Pine Island Center, Pineland and Bokeelia. Matlacha is known as an artist community that attracts residents and visitors alike with their vibrant art galleries and quirky appeal, as well as their great fishing spots. Pine Island Center is the hub of the island serving as a business and community center. You’ll also find a park and historical museum in this crossroads community. It is surrounded by the Pine Island National Wildlife Refuge and the Pine Island Aquatic Preserve which consists of 54,000 acres of submerged land.
