South Florida Real Estate Sales Still UP

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

Here is another article showing that sales are up in South Florida.

My projection is that the sales have been so “UP” for 2010 that you will start to see reports showing that sales are down soon as they return to normal.  For example when there are record sales like we have had in 2010 anything that is not a NEW RECORD is SLOWER by comparison.

Depending on which report you follow, I have seen anything from 10% to 60% increases in sales over 2008 & 2009.

More Household Tips

A few More Household Tips:

JELLY FISH STINGS – Pour alcohol on area & apply meat tenderizer with a popcicle stick.  Be careful not to touch the area with your hands & spread the venom.

EDIBLE PAINT – Add kool-aid to yogurt for a kid safe finger paint.

CD SCRATCHES – rub small amount of peanut butter or tooth paste on the CD.

PRSERVE NEWSPAPER CLIPPING – Large Club soda mixed with 1/2 cup Milk Of Magnesia & soak for 20 minutes then let dry.  Will last for many years.

FOGGY GOGLES & GLASSES – Rub Colgate Toothpaste on them & clean with soft cloth.

STAINED CARPET – If stain is still wet, use club soda & baby diapers to absorb the spill.

WINE STAIN IN CARPET – pour salt on the spill & watch it absorb the spill.

WAX STAIN – Place a paper towel over the stain & iron it with a clothes iron.

GLASSWEAR LABELS – Peanut butter removeds the sticky well.

DIRTY GROUT – Use Listerine to clean it.

SWEAT STAINS – Efferdent or vinegar & soak.

I hope these help make your life easier.  They were passed along to me & I have not tried all of them but I have heard many of them before.

Less Than 50 Miles Separates The Best/Worst Housing Markets In The US

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

Now that the market has turned and the worst of the housing bust is 12 months behind us, everyone wants to jump on the real estate bandwagon.  Does your realtor have the experience & knowledge needed to guide you in the diverse array of opportunities out there?

With economic recovery in the works, the housing market has extremes.  If you have a good realtor, they will know this.  You should never buy or sell real estate without a realtor to guide you.

In the entire country, there is less than 50 miles that separate the absolute best recovering market and the countries worst recovering market.  Both of them are in South Florida.  I am an realist but I like to hear good news so I will start by congratulating Weston, FL  for having the strongest recovery in the US.

Weston housing prices have increased almost 16% since 2009.  That is better than a healty appreciating market.  Good Inventory, Good Prices, Family-oriented amenities make this a great place to buy.

Homestead, FL prices have dropped almost 50% since 2009.  Opportunity everywhere in Homestead.  Not for everyone but if central location is not a requirement, this is an excellent chance to own in South Florida.  An excelent location for anyone that spends a lot of time in The Keys but likes the convenience of having a big city just a few minutes away.

I have the knowledge AND the experience to help you make an educated decision to BUY or SELL.
