According to RisMedia and The National Home Builders Association, it is very likely that the $8000 First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit program will be extended until April 30th of 2010. But, the good news for many individuals is that it will more than likely be extended to everyone that has lived in their primary residence for at least 5 of the last 8 years. These individuals will likely receive a reduced tax credit of $6500. This is great news for many individuals who are looking to buy in the Pocatello and Idaho area. Many individuals will now feel more comfortable in purchasing that new or next home. This would also be a great help to those individuals who are trying to sell those homes also. This will help to reduce the high inventory of homes on the market, and may even help to get some of those distressed properties off of the market. If you have any questions about the current First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit, or are curious of what I think of the possible extension, please don’t hesitate to call, email or text me. This is your source for timely real estate news in Pocatello Idaho, Brad Bassett.
