Latest News on Interest Rates in Bozeman, MT

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

If you think interest rates need to come down, look no further! I have had two lenders email their rate quotes today and they are at 4.75% and 4.875% for a 30 year fixed. Even for 60 day locks. Possibly lower for great credit and low Loan to Value. FHA is 4.875%

Technical signals are showing it’s time for a reversal in the bond market, so look for rates to start going up steadily in the very near future.  Don’t snooze, I think these rates will start going up very soon. And NOW is the time to take advantage of the homebuyer tax credit.  This info sheet will be helpful to brief you on the details of the program, but please talk to your accountant for further details.

Our local newspaper ran this article in January.

Are Property Values Still Going Down?

If you wait to see if prices fall more and in the meantime interest rates go up, that will impact your mortgage much more than a (possible) lower price point.  Click here to calculate your mortgage payment with different interest rates.
