Punta Gorda Florida

No…Punta Gorda does not have Penguins, Riddlers,  Catwomen or any of the other world-class criminals who prefer Gotham City.  In fact, there isn’t a lot of crime at all here in Sunny Punta Gorda, Florida.  (Okay…we may have a few “Jokers” in the area, but not of Batman fame.) 

What we do have in Punta Gorda, Florida is nearly year-round sunshine and warm weather, a beautifully pristine protected Harbor that flows into the Gulf of Mexico, and some of the best fishing, boating, and waterfront activity anywhere.  In addition to the Gulf of Mexico there is also fabulous, relaxing boating from the two Rivers that also flow in the other direction out of the Harbor.  If  Batman and Robin were ready for the total change from cold, dark, crime-ridden Gotham City,  and chose to give up the “Batmobile” and trade it for the “Batboat”, there is no better place to do it than right here in Punta Gorda! 

Speaking of “Bats”, the Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte area is also the location of the Tampa Bay Rays Spring Training Baseball facility, while just another 30 miles North or South of us in either direction, are the Baseball Spring Training Facilities of the Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, and Baltimore Orioles!  POW!  CRACK! BAM!  Come out to the ball games and listen to the sounds of all those Bats as they are hitting balls out of the stadiums here! 

Now here comes the best part!!   Punta Gorda, Florida was also named this year as one of the Top 10 places to retire in the United States, and the #1 MOST AFFORDABLE place to retire in the United States! 

Are people starting to find this out and come here?   You bet!!! As Robin noted to the Caped Crusader in the title of this blog…”IT’S TIME TO MOVE THE BATCAVE TO PUNTA GORDA, FLORIDA!
