Unit 64 in Cape Coral

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Why www.CAPE64.com you ask?

Here is your geography session for today about Cape Coral Florida.

Cape Coral is divided into 4 sections NW, NE, SE, and SW. The middle of Cape Coral is divided by part of Embers Parkway, Veterans Highway and Hancock Bridge Road. The center of Cape Coral is the intersection of Veterans Highway and Santa Barbara Boulevard. Every street East of Santa Barbara would be in the NE sections or SE section of the city. West of Santa Barbara is either in the SW or NW section.

Now each section of Cape Coral is then divided into units. In some sections you might have units 1-99 others 1-56. In the south west section, the units go from 1-99. Unit 64 is located south of Cape Coral Parkway and between Skyline Drive and Chiquita Boulevard. Just south of Unit 64 are units 67 and 77. I will get back to those sections in a minute.

Unit 64 consists mostly of all waterfront lots, a few dry lots (not on water), but not many. In addition to being mostly waterfront lots, the waterfront lots that are in Unit 64, are all sailboat access lots. Sailboat access lots mean that from the waterfront lot to the river or Gulf of Mexico, there are no bridges to worry about. A sailboat with a mast will not have to worry about any bridges. Large sport fishing boats with outriggers will not worry about any bridges. Unit 64 is one of the most popular waterfront units in Cape Coral because of not having to worry about bridges. In addition to no bridges, there are no locks or lifts to worry with either.

In unit 67 and 77 you have the same situation, no bridges or docks. However those two units are smaller and have limited availability. Nothing wrong with that, just means higher prices for the lots and homes.

In unit 79 need Cape Harbour, there is a lock that a boater must use to access the river or Gulf, both directions.

So, back to why Unit 64. I think Unit 64 is the best unit to live in. EZ access to river and gulf, still affordable housing now, inventory is getting less every day and prices are inching up. Homes are newer than the yacht club unit is the SE. That is why I chose Cape 64 for my web address.

If you are in the market for a waterfront home and want to be in a unit with sailboat access to the river, check unit 64. Use the home search at the top right of this page and search waterfront homes, area CC21. That will be unit 64. Have fun and good searching
