Well – it looks like the Senate is going to extend the date for the $8000 tax credit for new home buyers! The vote is not completed yet but the word is out that the deadline is to be extended to April 30, 2010! This is great news for first time home buyers– but it may also include the same tax credit for 2nd time buyers who are moving upward with their home purchase. The stipulation will probably include some income limits and other criteria to get the tax credit– but Hey– this will help out so many more people. I had noticed a swarm of buyers in the past month–hoping to close on a house before November 30.
